Over-Under The Moon

Freelance videogame music producer and artist from Washington state.Uses the alias Over-Under The Moon for music work. Moons for everything else.
My opinions are my own and do not reflect those of anyone I've worked with or for.
10+ years experience in music, and even more in art.
Hoping to earn some more experience, build my portfolio, and help support myself with my best skills.
Many of my tracks are mixed-genre, but a common theme of mine is classical/orchestral mixed with electronic rock and pop.
My art is character focused with a half-cute, half-cool style inspired by Japanese manga and animation.
For art commissions, please use my form, use my Ko-Fi commission page, or contact me via email.
For music commissions and contracts, please contact via email.
I'm willing to try and make your musical and artistic dreams come true!
Won't just compose for original projects - I'll do fangames too!
Please note that my current musical experience is for videogame soundtracks. I can still try to score things like animations, however. I can also try making something for your YouTube channel intro, or something to loop in the background of your commentary or video essay.Be sure to read the appropriate terms thoroughly before sending me orders or contracts.I will NEVER solicit commissions through DMs unless you reached out first, or you used my form and specifically leave your preferred contact info for me to reach you with.
If someone that looks like me tries to sneak into your DMs on any platform asking you to commission them, then it's not me - report them, and let me know.
You can also contact me via Twitter or Bluesky DMs and not just for business - if you want to ask about my process, tips, or just general questions or friendly conversation. My Itaku and YouTube channel are the best portals/archives for my art and music work, respectively. You can also scroll down to find my current portfolio.Be warned that my art accounts contain suggestive and - rarely - adult material and I follow and occasionally share posts from adult-oriented artists on those accounts.
The bulk of what I draw is safe for work, but I occasionally dip into my love for women "anatomy studies." My interests are very vanilla but those of my peers might not be.
If you want only music and gamedev related topics, stick to my Over-Under The Moon Bluesky account.
I believe in transparency, I'm not going to hide what I enjoy.

Portfolio

Twilit Children (In Production)

Role: Director, Designer, Composer, Artist, various othersA long in the making 3D action-platformer RPG set in an urban fantasy world. I started this years ago and have been slowly working on it in my spare time with the help of others. While still in early stages, I felt it was necessary to upload some of the music already done for the project for the sake of a better portfolio. As my largest body of work, you can hear a variety of location themes, character themes and more, in a variety of styles. Check back later for more info, otherwise...

Project "Faith" (In Production)

Role: Director, Designer, Composer, Artist, various othersA 2D Metroidvania-lite action platformer, serving as a standalone "soft prequel" to Twilit Children and will be released first - not necessary to understand the story of the 3D game, but adds context and otherwise intended to be a solid standalone experience and story. I've chosen to relay even less information about this project for now until more work has been done, so check back later for more info...

Naturally Grown Neural Network
(In Production)

Role: ComposerThis is an upcoming, pay-what-you-want, 5-track instrumental EP with all original tracks, not tied to any previous project. The genres will be mixed, but the overall theme and goal is a chill and relaxing listen, exploring sounds and genres outside of my comfort zone.

Egg Gravitas EP

Role: ProducerThis is a free/PWYW tribute remix EP made for Sonic Advance 3's Chaos Angel Zone. It includes 5 tracks - all three acts, an arrangement of the zone map, and the boss track. It was made to kind of contrast how far I've come since my "first" remixes of the act tracks in 2018 (there are awful earlier ones you'll never hear) and I think I did a good job of both remaining faithful in some areas while really making them my own in others.

Sonic Advance 4 Advanced

Role: ComposerThis was a fangame project I was asked and brought on board for in around 2018. Originally I was supposed to do just remixes of existing tracks from the series, but I later offered to produce original tracks instead. I only managed to complete a total of five before the project went on indefinite hiatus, unfortunately. These include two pairs of stage tracks, and a theme for the character select screen. Regardless, I'm still proud of the work I was able to do in that time.
